Self improvement techniques
At this stage, we have completed our meditation exercises and are capable of entering alpha state through a shortened process as well as quite immediately. We have also improved our creative imagination and can now picture vivid and quite clear images according to our wishes and are also capable of activating the appropriate senses, which correspond with our visualized content. We have also begun activating our imagination for achieving improved goals.
Already at the first meditation exercises, we gave our-selves commands, which materialized. In fact, in commencing, we initiated our spiritual self-improvement process.
In continuation, we'll introduce some principles and exercises to enhance our spiritual faculties and for self-healing. These will also provide us with experience aiding to improve our meta-values. It will also enable us to independently construct exercises within this domain.
The exercises for these topics differ mainly in the pictorial content presented to our mind. If we visualize that we have recovered from a disease we wish to overcome, the form of improvement will be that of self-healing. If we visualize that we function better in some spiritual activity, the improvement will be that of spiritual self improvement
In order to achieve an improvement, our goal must be positive and constructive. Negative statements and images, or ones that contradict our inner truth, would throw us off from our meditative state, thereby stopping our process of self-improvement. In order to achieve our selected goal, we may either present our mind with one ultimate image or else with several pictorial visualizations, leading to our desired state of improvement.
Notes regarding the use of imagination in the spiritual self-improvement process
Visualize an ideal end-goal you yearn to attain. There is a reasonable chance you will achieve something close to it.
The visualized image should be perceived as representing reality.
The image should be as realistic as possible; of an achievable target, and should include details with which you are familiar or whose form you can reasonably predict.
Spiritual forces that encourage the process of spiritual self improvement.
First and foremost amongst these is what can be termed as divine encouragement. Another spiritual force is the other – our fellow beings. As to our own internal forces, it can be said that each and every evolved positive urge, value and feeling encourages the development and improvement we crave. Desire, belief and expectation serve as primary tools in this encouragement. Specifically the feelings of success, optimism, self-confidence, enthusiasm and daring – also contribute towards achieving these aims.
Try to approach this process with these forces fully developed, at a high level of activity and present from the process' inception to its completion. If necessary, they should be strengthened before commencing the improvement process. It is recommended to utilize them in your day-to-day activities.
Spiritual forces that inhibit the process of spiritual self improvement.
In principle, any force which stands in opposition to those noted above can inhibit the process. To these may be added negative emotions such as: doubt, hesitation, self-criticism and disappointment.
Exercise details for the improvement process.
The number of exercises: At least 21, one per day, for 15 minutes, after waking up. It is also recommended that beginning with the 16th exercise, you will practice these steps, in your everyday life, for an unlimited period of time.
Notes:
At least 21 days are required for dissolving an old habit and for an improved one to jell.
During the training, behave as explained in the "Introduction" chapter. Re-read its contents before embarking on this process.
The exercise period may be lengthened if you are less than satisfied with your results.
In preparation for the spiritual self improvement process.
The first thing we have to clarify to ourselves: Is the improvement necessary? It is recommended that we perform this analysis in a calm state or in α state. The analysis itself will bring various other inner tools to the surface, encouraging the process' success. What follows are some of the steps that will lead our analysis to its proper conclusion:
What is the problem? Why do you need to solve it? Are you sure you want it solved?
Describe to yourself the benefits and satisfaction involved with the achievement of this solution.
Describe to yourself the faults and dangers involved in refraining from implementing this improvement.
Decide that you want this improvement.
Imagine the improvement you aim for and remember it.
Awake your desire for its attainment; believe this improvement is within reach and feel convinced of your success.
Anticipate positive results.
Strengthen these feelings through repetition of these last two instructions.
The improvement exercise
Draw out these positive feelings you have built up in your preparation.
Enter α state, accompanied by these feelings.
Display in your imagination, your ultimate improvement, with all its details clearly visible, in natural color and in 3 dimensions. Make it as vivid as possible. Decide that your image represents reality and accept it as such. Admire it. Examine its advantages. If possible, examine its improved performance. Feel elation and happiness at this achievement. Bask in this wonderful mood for a minute.
Activate the suggestions prior to exiting α state, as described in the "Entering and exiting the state of meditation" exercise.)
Exit α state.
Repeat this exercise at least 21 times, once a day, preferably in the morning, after waking up.
From the 16th exercise, begin to practice this improvement in your daily life – with no time limit. Begin cautiously within a narrow field of activity. As you gain experience, gradually increase its activity domain.
At the end of your exercise period, examine the improvements you have achieved. If the results do not meet your expectations, prolong the exercise period.
Self-healing
The following example includes an additional image that depicts the very process of healing, thereby raising the odds of success. In principle, this stage can be added to most processes, but in practice, it is important to add this stage in extreme cases, such as cancer.
It is well known that most of those people who more easily overcome illness in general and serious illness in particular, are positive, optimistic people, possessing a strong belief in their ability to recover. It is obviously a good idea to improve our capabilities and to aspire to emulate them.
Note: The techniques outlined in this book, assisting the process of self-healing in cases of serious illness, especially cancer, certainly do not constitute an alternative to conventional medicine.
I will now introduce an effective method for assisting in the healing of cancer:
Before commencing the exercise it is important that you cast away your doubts and fears. Activate a firm belief that recovery is possible. Activate a powerful desire to be healed and anticipate positive results. Strengthen these emotions by repeating their content. Maintain these feelings at a high level throughout the healing process.
The exercise
Enter α state, accompanied by these strengthened positive emotions.
Imagine the cancer cells in the infected organ as being very weak cells, dying even as they grow. Imagine the treatment you receive is killing only the cancer cells. Imagine your immune system killing the cancer cells, cleansing the organ of them for good.
Shift this image to the right until it disappears and introduce a new image from your left side, in which you are completely healed and healthy. Determine that this image represents your real condition. Move around this image and admire it, examining your improved capabilities and functioning. Express joy, elation, gratitude and happiness at having achieved this important goal. Stay for several minutes in this wonderful state.
Activate all the suggestions prior exiting from α state as specified in the "Entering and exiting the state of meditation section.
Exit alpha state.
Repeat this exercise once a day until your goal is achieved.
Transfer the feelings of self-confidence, belief and optimism that you activated in this exercise into your everyday life. Adopt this attitude as a newly acquired habit. |
