Preface

An unremitting concern and anxiety over the dangers facing mankind today, along with the persistence of the "Jewish tragedy" – are those which prompted me to write my book. I felt a need to bring to man's attention a unique content that will assist him in overcoming these dangers and this tragedy.

The dangers I refer to are, first and foremost, the nuclear holocaust, which appears to be realistic within the circumstance of our lives; grave ecological problems, such as global warming, nuclear pollution, the danger posed by ultraviolet radiation owing to the depletion of the ozone layer, the increase in nuclear accidents and the spread of AIDS. To these should be added the dangers stemming from the degraded state of man's morals. Among these, we can point to the spread of crime and of drug use, incitements to hatred and violence, the abundance of terrorist groups in the Arab world and the appearance of neo-Nazi groups in the welfare states. All these may lead to a reoccurrence of disasters from the not so distant past and bring closer the threat of a nuclear holocaust.

The most fundamental question every man must pose is: Can the situation described here be improved upon?

If we believe that Man was created in God's image, and is therefore inherently positive by nature and has an exalted Godly role (these terms will be clarified and verified over the course of this book), then he must possess tools for activating a process of liberating himself from the distress in which he is mired.

In my book, I'll attempt to show that such tools are indeed in his possession and can be efficiently activated. Therefore, the answer is positive

As long as people believe in absurdities, they will continue to commit atrocities.

So many gods, so many creeds,
So many paths that wind and wind,
While just the art of being kind
Is all the sad world need
